Want to see my dress of the month for December? Then look below! I travelled to London and modelled this dress on the Tower Bridge! The dress is a black satin and chiffon dress. The bodice is decorated with crystal beads and diamante. The dress then explodes into a fun little number with layer upon layer of chiffon ruffles. This is definately a dress to wear if you want to get noticed! I had plenty turning heads when walking down the streets of London!!! Contact info@melissaminterfashion.co.uk for more details - quote 'Blog' and recieve 10% off this dress!

With thanks to Kevin Sandland for the studio shots and Paul Carroll for the London shots. Love you both!!! XXX

I have NOT updated in quite a while... i'm sorry! It must be the Christmas blues...

HELLO THERE!

So I last blogged in the summer, that's not good... This means I will explain briefly - by month - what occurred... are ya ready?!
Summer Hols: I went to Belguim, ate, collected my GCSE results of which I got 6A*'s, 4A's, 3B's... etc... I was rather suprised. Am I seriously that clever or are they just extremely easy?
September Time: I started Sixth Form, studying psychology, english language, product design & art... all fun and i love each and every subject, except the work - but I'm no quitter!

September 25th... WOW! I competed in the nationals for Miss Teen GB, representing Nantwich, I came first runner up. So close but the winner deserved her moment...

From being inspired from this, I then went on to the Miss Teen Galaxy England idea... and applied... and HI! An e-mail saying I've got through - and therefore, currently, I am Miss Teen Cheshire Galaxy - representing a larger area. And boy, how I am ready to rock! (I sound so cringey, but this is a blog, it's meant to be? Haha) I just feel as if I'm always second best - It sounds silly, I know. But I really want this. To represent a HUGE title would be amazing. What's even better is that you fly over to the US of A and I will be competiting for the INTERNATIONALS in Florida, America, in July. O.M.G. That's IF I am successful, but hopefully representing Cheshire so greatly I will succeed - Just need to find an amazing dress... OH AND THIS LEADS ME ON TO SOMETHING SO GREAT. If you can't wait to find out, skip over to DECEMBER!!! To finish off my wonderful month of Sept, I spent one weekend in London with the London Fashion Weekend event. It was amazing. Going in Feb, end of. You know what this is about so I don't have to explain. I missed my casting with Vivenne Westwood though - BOOOOO...

October: Xmas time? Nope. Scary time! Hello monsters and all Gaga fans - you are allowed to look weird for ONE NIGHT ONLY. Yes, that's halloween of course. That was fun... I didn't have to dress up of course. :-) I hope my face looks scary...

November: Not much happened... Except the wondeful 11th of the 11th of the 11th. I'm really grateful for these guys - You know who they are. My cousin is in the RAF and so this meant a lot. I hope you wore your poppy with pride. I know I did. OOO another weekend in London was also a present in my arms - I modelled and promoted my BIG NEWS! look below... I revealed a sneeky peak... and I also modelled for a London bridesmaids company - which was fun. You can view the youtube behind the scenes clip here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=optomZMLJtE

DECEMBER! the last month of 2012... I mean, 2011!!! Wow. You will all have to wait for my JANUARY 2012 BLOG. I will reveal something amazing, oh boy you will not want to miss it!!!

As for representing Miss Teen Cheshire Galaxy, earlier this month - December - I raised money for a local Hospice which is based in Stoke on Trent. I ran a FASHION night with various hairdressers, photographers, beauty therapists, a local FM RADIO! and last but not least, the amazing thing you'll have to find out... LATER IN JANUARY.. okkkk heres a sneaky peak: www.melissaminterfashion.co.uk - LAUNCHING IN JANUARY... wonder what this is about ;)

P.S. merry christmas and I love each and every person I have met in 2011... roll on 2012 for the NATIONALS OF GALAXY and fingers crossed, INTERNATIONALS!!!

good night america!!! ENJOY YOUR XMAS, i hope santa spoils you xxxxxxxx

So much done, such a small amount of time...

WOW. What an amazing couple of weeks I have had. Too busy to come online! So, I went to Belguim... I probably spent the whole week shopping and buying some amazing dresses from H&M, Zara, and some other fab belguim-ic vintage shops. The week flew by, (and thank god, because I missed the UK too much! & my boyfriend of course.)

Then, when I arrived back from my resting yet shopaholic week, I find out that I've been sponsored for Miss Teen GB! A fab achievement. I am now officially: Miss Teen Nantwich 2011! I will now be arranging to do some fabulous appearances and have already been interviewed on The Cat Radio (listen to me live, tomorrow from 1pm http://www.thisisthecat.com/) but if you miss it, you can always go on the feature and listen again... I then appeared in the newspaper! http://www.crewechronicle.co.uk/crewe-news/local-crewe-news/2011/08/03/wybunbury-teenager-aims-for-the-top-in-miss-teen-great-britain-competition-96135-29165039/ (...i was going to add a pic of the article on here but my internet connection is being rather annoying...)

Back to life. Back to reality. So... I have been 'chilling' really. The life to life. What's the point in stressing? We live once, and yes, as long as I'm not too lazy it's absolutely fine!

LEAVING PEOPLE ARE OFTEN THE NICEST... so boo hoo :(

My amazing friend, Laura, left the place where I work at, so good-bye to you! (I will still see her... just less often.. boohoo) life sucks sometimes.

And then my lovely jubly Jessica Molly is going to Madrid for a few months - so another shout out to you my lovely, and make sure you experience the LOT! #

I'm going to miss you both so much - but hey, this is life. You will always be in my heart. :)

So, viewers (doubt anyone reads this, LOL, but hey) I hope you have all enjoyed your week so far...

P.s. Be happy. I love you all.

Oh, and I have a massive shoot coming up, this wednesday! Let's hope we rock it hard guys. Hong Kong better watch out! Yes, cake will be on set for you guys that are appearing :)

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND AND IF YOU ARE ATTENDING V-FEST THEN FU! I WANTED A TICKET-BUT LEFT IT LASTMINUTE. LIKE ALWAYS. so you're a... mean kid! (shit, let me go)

Saying good-bye is never a good thing...

Tash, it has been a blast. Through years of laughter, tears & tantrums, (like the one you had yesterday), it has time to come and say good-bye... Have a fantastic time in Malia & Australia... I'm really going to miss you...

P.s. wake me up when September comes?

Sorry this was an awful blog. I will just miss Tash Minter... loads.

First for everything

Well, well, well! Hello! Where do I start? Why did I start a blog? Who am I?!... Forget questions - you want answers right?!

I start here, right here: Hello :), my name is Melissa...  and yes, I am crazy! I started a blog as I think my impact on here can change people. I have messages to send, I want people to know and start to learn about who (not what) they actually are. So I begin here, every week (if you're lucky) I will be posting blogs. You will learn about yourself, the people that are surrounding you, and hopefully, without failure, I will make you start to have a little bit of 'me' time, yes, for yourself! Forget everything, forget everyone else. Just focus on yourself...

Everybody, yes, EVERYBODY, has a busy lifestyle. Sometimes we never get to just focus, and tune in to our ultimate selves. Yes. Now is the time to stop all housework, homework, stop all talks, whatever you are doing, just STOP! Start to listen to your heart, and not your mind, and note all the things you want to achieve this year, perhaps this week. Perhaps, today.

So! How do I tune you in? This is the difficult part; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So bare with me... Where do you want to see yourself in 5 years time? What have you gained within the past 5 years? Perhaps this could be new friends, a great career, maybe you have had a success on finding a location for your new house?! Or perhaps you are starting university, and you have booked your accomodation for your stay?! Anything, yes, ANYTHING, you do, successfully or unsuccessfully is successful. If you fail, what do you do? You get back up, and repeat the thing you were doing... Failure only shows that you are progressing. You need to start to think positive, to recieve positive outcomes. Don't just stop all your dreams just because you lost faith in yourself. You need to start to learn & love yourself. That way, you will be happier, and healthier! Only people who smile lots (like me) do silly things, and people LOVE you for these. Well, I hope they do! (HA HA!!!)

So, stranger, lets start with the beginning of every story. Let us begin with the new chapter of this blog, and the new chapter in your life... and your heart...

My first thing I need to say to you is for you to be true to yourself. True is your heart's yearning, a sense of knowing what you are here to do and what makes you feel alive and authentic. You know you can achieve anything out of the ordinary, all you need is knowledge, mixed with patience and you will soon see your bud grow. So, I say it again, stranger, do you ever have those days when things seem to be going a little too fast, and you need everything to just go away, even for just one moment? So you escape into your own world, and feel the urge to chill to just kick in as soon as you lean back, and take a hugeee breath in. Yes. It's 'me' time. Have you got a favourite song that you listen to everyday? The one song that reminds you of who you are, and what you love. What happens? Traffic - and life - stop, because you have found what really makes you feel good, and brings you back to you.

So what do I have to share with you that you haven't heard already from a friend, a spouse, or your parents? Maybe you need to explore your story, and what you are here to do. There is a reason you have carried on reading this blog, now is the time to rediscover who you are at your core...
For the past few months, perhaps years, I have missed out on a lot of fun! I work and work and work and never have time to think - or care - about myself. I'm surprised I haven't gained 3456789lbs since Christmas. All I do is: eat, or eat, or eat! But i'm currently eating 6 tablets, in addition to my meals, a day, which have 26 fruit and veg in, the whole nutrition i need! And by god, do i feel good! Not only this, but recently, I have found such a gentlemen! I'm surprised that I have found such a genuine guy, most men turn out to be idiots. But Ol, yes, my Ol, is one of a kind.

So I can't promise anything after reading this blog that you are going to find the new you. Don't go out for a whole different make-over! My aim is to allow you to create more 'me' time, and to forget anything, but to just 'slob out' and to CHILL!!!

BEING THE TRUE PERSON YOU ACTUALLY ARE...

Now that we have realized the importance of tuning into who we really are, how the heck do we do it? Sometimes it's easy to lose sight of our unique essence when we are bombarded by contraditions of how we should be. We need to be skinny and successful - but not too successful. We need to be friendly and sexy 0 but not provocative. We need to be attractive - but not too pretty.
The truth is, you don't have to let society define you. Do me a favour and do an experiment: (this applies mostly to girls) For the next week put away all your gossip magazines - all of 'em! For seven days, stop comparing yourself to anyone else, and decide to live by your own rules of how you should look, act and be. What I hope you will see: We define who we are, not anyone else, unless we let them! The foundation of our roles as women depends on how we view ourselves from the inside out. Take a diamond for example. Your different roles (mother, girlfriend, daughter, buisnesswoman, student) are like different facets of a diamond. What gives your diamond that brilliance, that special shine, is the depth of the base. The clarity and strength of that base determine and define who you are.

Sometimes it can be too easy to allow one role to dominate and allow the base of our diamonds to get murky. All you need to remember is that YOU can have it all. Just in time, and plenty of smiles along the way. At the moment, I am currently looking for a sponsor for my pageant which is in September. It's a bloody hard process, but with meaning, I am being patient, and yes, a company has turned me away, but you have to consider, you are probably higher than them and they will soon regret the rejection they made upon you... It only makes you stronger!

P.S. you are a firework!
